Project Overview

As part of our specialized services in industrial hygiene and water treatment, Gottviewz Nigeria Limited successfully executed the reactivation of a 600g/hour Chlorine Dioxide (ClO₂) Generator. This generator is a critical asset for effective microbial control in water systems, and its reactivation was essential to restoring disinfection capability, ensuring safe water quality, and minimizing operational risks in the facility.

This project was undertaken to revive the generator after a prolonged shutdown caused by system failures, dosage inconsistencies, and control unit malfunctioning.

🔧 Scope of Work

The reactivation process involved an end-to-end rehabilitation of both the chemical dosing system and the ClO₂ generation unit.

Key tasks included:

• Inspection of reactor components, including acid and chlorite dosing pumps, flow meters, and mixing chambers

• Cleaning and descaling of dosing lines and ClO₂ generator cell to eliminate build-up and blockage

• Replacement of worn-out pump diaphragms, gaskets, and sensors

• PLC and control unit diagnostics, followed by software reprogramming and interface configuration

• Recalibration of dosage settings to achieve precise 600g/h output under controlled flow rates

• Leak testing, system flushing, and trial disinfection runs

• On-site training for operators on safe handling, monitoring, and routine maintenance
