Project Overview

In line with our commitment to revitalizing critical production assets across West Africa’s manufacturing landscape, Gottviewz Nigeria Limited successfully completed the reactivation of a Battenfeld Fischer 1L Extrusion Blow Molding Machine for Betra Sarl, an established manufacturer of plastic packaging products in Cotonou, Benin Republic.

The machine had been idle due to a combination of mechanical wear, electrical faults, and production inconsistencies. Our task was to restore it to full operational capacity—allowing Betra to resume the production of high-quality 1-liter plastic cans essential for their commercial packaging lines.

🔧 Scope of Work

The reactivation involved a full-system evaluation, mechanical restoration, and electrical reconfiguration to bring the machine back to optimal performance.

Key activities included:

• Inspection and restoration of extrusion units, including screw and barrel cleaning, and heater band replacements

• Reconditioning of the mold closing and clamping system for proper alignment and sealing

• Repair and calibration of pneumatic and hydraulic assemblies supporting mold movement and parison control

• Complete electrical diagnostic, followed by rewiring of control circuits and PLC troubleshooting

• Replacement of non-functional sensors, relays, and contactors

• Trial production runs, cycle time optimization, and product quality verification

• On-site operator training on best practices for machine operation and maintenance
